Jessica Simpson hightailed it out of NYC yesterday, but she didn't seem to need six National Guardsman to protect her -- and LaGuardia Airport was a whole lot more crowded than JFK was the other night.


An ebullient and witty fan begged her for a date, even though, as he put it, "I'm not as cute as John Mayer."

Cute or not, he got a chuckle.

4. As far as Im concerned, it was American Airlines that stepped over the line by requesting the National Guard accompany JS through the airport. Don't they have any security guards of their own? That would've been the right way to handle things. You can't blame the NG guys from jumping at the chance to get close to a celebrity like JS, though wasn't right that all six guys deserted their posts. It left the coast clear for the real bad guys.

Very dissappointing that the media (as usual) resorted to displaying
our troops in a negative light. Why doesn't the person that wrote this
article put on the uniform, go thru the vigorusly physical demanding training
that these young men/women do and then, when called upon leave their
loved ones to fight for the basic freedom and protection of a country
that completely demoralizes and ridicules them for escorting a
star...what troubles me the most is that the freedom of the press and
speech is giving to you people by these young men and women, not the
politicians or laws or whining citizens but, by the Soldiers that
fight to protect you. As for your tax dollars perhaps you can
complain to the family who just lost a son or daughter serving his
country how important your tax refund is to you since were
inappropriately spending it on America's freedom...retards.
